Upon an afternoon walk down a silent lane you encounter an old tree that has grown and pushed aside an even older fence. You ponder who built the fence as an Autumn breeze chills the air around you. Sighing you head back the way you had come from regretful that you had not worn a jacket this day.
"Once Upon A Fence" captures the feel of an Autumn walk along a lonely road lined by old and forgotten fences. This original watercolor painting is one of a series of Autumn Landscapes created by the artist.
I am a Romani American Artist. My name is J.A. George but you may call me, as my friends do, The GYPSY. As a former Zookeeper and lifelong lover of nature I have a unique perspective on Animals and Conservation. When I create my art, whether Animal or Landscape or both combined, I seek not to create reality or fantasy but to find the spirit of what I am painting. Seeking out the spirit of my subject creates a deeper meaning in my paintings beyond the ordinary.
